ENGAGE ME
TO FACILITATE YOUR EVENT and take the conversation up a notch... You can provide the content or we can co-create it. I have facilitated a variety of groups of people, for various purposes, in different settings. I love creating healthier conversations to create community and move people to action! I am a MISCHIEF MAKER! I love working with these amazing folks in Amsterdam as their US Lead Facilitator for groups of 50-500 to bring more FUN to FACILITATION :) As they say, serious work doesn't have to be serious. I have been a CIRCL.ES GUIDE! Part of a global collective of guides changing the shape of conversations. I facilitate connection among global CEO's engaging in Harvard Business School's OPM program. What kind of conversations do you want to be having? What is the practice of CIRCLE? A soulful, mindful practice of listening from the heart, offering nonjudgmental compassion and genuine support. In Circle, we turn off distractions to tune into what matters most.... We hold space for each other and enjoy being held. Circle is a practice of slowing down to the speed of the soul to reflect and connect with our wise selves and... a time out of time to be courageously vulnerable together in a brave space. We gather regularly to align with what matters most. Circle includes: a rich, facilitated conversation, ritual, mindfulness practices, and time for individual reflection. We leave Circle energized, with more clarity, feeling seen and heard and deeply supported. There is absolutely no place like Circle! WE CANNOT BECOME OURSELVES BY OURSELVES. CIRCLES operate much like SALONS did during the Enlightenment period in Europe, where people committed to reaching their own potential and helping others do so came together regularly to thoughtfully practice the art of conversation -- where being a good listener was as important as being a good orator. COLLEGE ESSAY COACHING:
For the past 10 years, I have guided 100s of teenagers through the stressful process of applying to college! Coaching starts in June 2024. Contact me to get on my calendar! Ready to transform the angst of the college application process into mindful meaning-making? Weaving together my skills as editor, purpose guide, facilitator and mindfulness teacher, I create stress-free, supportive spaces for teenagers to discover their authentic voice, gather their unique stories and craft them into persuasive essays. Often this is the first time they ask the BIG questions of life: WHO AM I? and WHY AM I HERE? Weaving together tips from wise advisors in the world of college admissions -- as well as my own personal experience with hundreds of teens over the past ten years -- I offer a practical process for students of all writing abilities to engage in and even enjoy this rite of passage. Whether they are applying to just a few state schools or a dozen various programs across the US, I can assist them throughout the journey. FAQ We meet 1:1 for 60-90 minutes at a time in my Oak Park home. My three-part process involves: a brainstorming session (a student favorite!), writing techniques, tips and encouragement, followed by editing. Over our time together, they become better writers and editors! They learn how to express themselves more clearly and succinctly through the written word. Depending on how many schools they apply to, we will meet weekly or bi-weekly for 3-5+ sessions. I charge $80/hour and bill monthly or upon completion. Yes, I also work on scholarships, awards and with graduate students. Straight from my students: Without a doubt, I would recommend you to a friend. Throughout the entirety of our process, I felt complete freedom to go in whatever direction I wished, knowing you would meet me there with support, encouragement, and fresh ideas. Your personality made for excellent conversation and consideration, and I just enjoyed being in the same room as you. I think your methodology is spot-on for mentoring, and your open-mindedness is so exciting and refreshing. I struggle to think of anything at all that could be better than it was. I always looked forward to our meetings, and you turned what could have been a brutal process into a joyful and mind-expanding experience. Your editing process is fantastic, and just as you said, I find myself editing my own work in a similar way all the time now. So, thank you so very much for your mentorship, and for learning alongside me! S.W. I highly recommend Mrs. Lucci. She was so helpful for the entire process from brainstorming through writing and editing. S.R. (Brown, Early Decision) I want to thank you deeply and truly for everything. There's no one else that I would've wanted to help me through this process. Your constant kindness and belief in me was the optimism I needed to keep going. I know it has been a long road, so thank you for your patience and grace. You are so magical and resilient for working with teenagers! N.D. Mrs. Lucci is a great resource who will help you cultivate a final product you will be proud of for what it is as well as the success of being accepted into selective schools. M.K. (Gap Year then U of Illinois) Susan is great at listening to your ideas and experiences and helping you craft them into a cohesive thesis and story. She is a great editor, too! I.S. (Stanford, Oxford & fellowship essays) And a word from a few proud parents, too.... Susan, you are one of the very best things that has happened to (my son) in a long time. I am so grateful for your positive and encouraging spirit and your excellent writing support. He is so much more confident about this process. The essay was awesome! More importantly, he is thrilled. You pulled so much out of him. The essay caused me to pause and reflect on who he is developing into. I am proud of his perseverance. Thank You!!!! Your assistance with (my daughter) was invaluable. BTW - she finally let me read her personal statement - it's breathtaking! |
