Training TEENS to be Mindful:
Schools teach reading, writing and arithmetic, and yet miss one of the most important aspects that actually facilitates our education – caring for our minds. Bad news: today’s teens experience more stress than previous generations. Good news: mindfulness tools and techniques
will help them cope and even thrive!
I have practiced mindfulness myself for many years and am also certified in MBSR-T
(Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens).
In either workshop or 1:1 format, we will explore a variety of mindfulness techniques and create a personalized playlist of practices to use in daily life. Come learn how:
“Mindfulness is for the brain
what aerobic exercise is for the body.”

Want to join me in CIRCLE-making? Try out my online DAILY OM course: Cultivating Circles: Changing the Conversation
In this chaotic time of frenetic busyness and distraction leading to feelings of disconnection, isolation and overwhelm, Circle provides a restorative, inspiring space to learn and practice (nearly forgotten) energizing, soul-filling techniques such as: active listening, tapping the power of the pause, and creative group brainstorming. In Circle, we access that deep well of wisdom drawn from each others' presence and perspective. Magically, Circle magnifies, intensifies, and transforms our energetic presence!
In this week-long online course, you will learn how to cultivate Circles of your very own, how to create safe spaces for juicy conversations in your very own neighborhood that will undoubtedly revive you and re-engage you in the world! The Circle archetype is alive and well in our collective consciousness, just waiting to be revived.
When we sit in Circle, we not only change the seating but also the quality, tone and depth of conversation. We create a container safe for being authentic, a place to be seen and heard, a space for deep reflection and connection, in the midst of a noisy world. Obviously, this is not about creating something entirely new; Instead, we are "re-membering" our original way of BEING together thousands of years ago. Ancient civilizations were built around a fire, which satisfied their needs for cooking food, providing warmth, a venue for storytelling, and means of defense. Later, being in Circle defined social culture and presented a means for governing.
This version of Circle, informed and influenced by dozens of models and mentors, revives this ancient process of consultation and communion, and offers a method for modern multi-taskers to slow and savor life.
In this course, you will learn a simple, practical, impactful model for activating this ancient archetype -- one that you can adapt to your own personal style, people and place. Shared here are techniques for creating safe, supportive environments for reflection, deep dialogue, story-sharing and accessing collective wisdom. Sign up here

I offer a one-of-a-kind College Essay Writing Coaching!
This is the first time our teens face the really BIG questions of life posed by the college application. And...It can be overwhelming!
Applying tips from wise advisers in the world of college admissions as well as my own personal experience with 100+ teens, I employ a practical -- dare I say FUN!? — process.
The nearly overwhelming task of applying to college can become an enjoyable process of self-discovery, with the support of inspired coaching. In addition to preparing a polished personal statement and several essays useful for the common app/supplements, students focus and get organized by creating their own personal timeline.
It’s never too early to start this process!
I offer both group workshops
(June 6, 7, & 8 from 12:30-2:30)
and 1:1 appointments, at your student's convenience.
I will let the students speak for themselves:
"I think the thing that helped most was the conversations we had to plan my writing. Your continual questions really helped me dig deeper into my ideas. I also liked the multiple drafts approach we took. which helped me focus on improvement, not perfection. I definitely recommend your services to others. You greatly eased the weight of the college process by providing friendly, resourceful guidance. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with you. You really helped me take off a ton of stress and learn more about myself via my writing. Your suggestions helped me gain confidence and be excited to submit my apps.
I cannot thank you enough!" Ella
"I would totally recommend Susan Lucci!
She made me realize that the college application process doesn't have to be stressful -- It's actually a way to learn more about yourself through essays. Tutoring sessions with her were fun too! The time flew by, because she's easy to talk to, never judges, and knows a ton of prompts to get peoples' creative juices flowing! Even after the summer passed and I was no longer able to meet with her in person, she made herself readily available through email and google docs. She helped me edit supplemental essays; within a couple hours, she would get back to me with suggestions. She made my college application experience so much easier and more enjoyable, and I am very grateful
for everything she has done to help me."
“You made this stressful process so much easier!!! I would absolutely recommend your service to a friend. This whole process is so stressful but your help made it much more manageable. You were so available and your help and feedback always exceeded my expectations. I will be sure to tell every Junior I know that when they start this college process, they should reach out to you.” Sam
“Thank you so much for the help and honestly this is really fun for me to develop a piece of writing and really shake of the coal around it to make it a true gem. I didn't think I would enjoy it this much! One really needs an incredible support team when applying to college. I feel as though I got that from you.
Mrs. Lucci is a rockstar!” Kayla
“I would recommend you to anyone I can. While we worked together you helped us think in a more sophisticated manner. I was a good writer, but you helped me broaden my view and the many avenues I could take to tell my story. You also helped me with many grammar issues that neither myself, nor spell check were able to catch. You change lives with your work. You are gifted at what you do.You have helped me and all of my Link friends become better writers. Now we are on our way to top universities across the country. Some people are not nice enough to do what you do, but you have the patience to do great things with students. Thank you!” Jordan
