CIRCLE TENDER, SUSAN LUCCI
is a native Midwesterner and mother of three "big-question-asking, life-loving" teenagers. Viewed from the midpoint where she now stands, she spent the first chapter of her life practicing law, the second creating a nurturing home for her children, she is passionate about discovering and acting out the unfolding third chapter. For the past decade, she pondered "What's Next?" constantly seeking the intersect of her deep passion with the world's deep need. In 1997, she moved to Chicago with a newborn and no support system, transitioning from the world of law to home. Susan is now eager to share her life-enhancing experiences: practicing self-care, embracing solitude and creating a supportive community of similarly-situated women. Over the past years, she has found refuge in participating in circles of deep dialogue, and most recently, facilitating those dialogues. To date, she has facilitated over 200 circles engaging more than 150 people! Circles cover a variety of fascinating topics including: finding your voice, making transformative transitions, tapping into your creative fire, establishing networks of support, engaging in interfaith efforts, and performing meaningful service. Her vision for the Centering Circles is to gently awaken and connect conscious creators,
shifting their perspectives and activating them to achieve a better world now.
Susan is a mother, recovering lawyer, community activist, as well as a certified facilitator and trainer with the Project on Civic Reflection.

Recent studies show that those of us who spend more time in meaningful conversations are actually happier! We are indeed here to make meaning out of it all! http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/03/17/talk-deeply-be-happy |
