High School TEEN Mindfulness Workshop: Schools teach reading, writing and arithmetic, and yet miss one of the most important aspects that actually facilitates our education –
caring for our minds.
Bad news: today’s teens experience more stress
than previous generations.
Good news: mindfulness tools and techniques
will help them cope and even thrive!
Having practiced mindfulness for many years, I have discovered wonderful ways to incorporate it into my daily life and live more mindfully — and happily :) — as a result. In this workshop, prepared especially for high schoolers, we will explore a variety of mindfulness techniques and create a playlist of practices to use in daily life. Ideal for graduating seniors to develop mindfulness practices useful for college transition!
Session 1: June 3, 4 & 5
Session 2: June 9, 10 & 11
1:30-3 PM each day
$100 per person
Come learn how
“Mindfulness is for the brain
what aerobic exercise is for the body.”
COLLEGE ESSAY SUPPORT:
Looking for a unique summer opportunity for your rising junior or senior? Interested in transforming angst and apathy into mindful meaning-making? This summer, I am excited to once again offer my one of a kind College Application Essay Writing Workshop and 1:1 Coaching! This is the first time our teens face the really BIG questions of life posed by the college application. Applying tips from two wise advisers in the world of college admissions (Katie Malachuk: You’re Accepted and Harry Bauld: On Writing the College Essay) as well as my own personal experience with dozens of teens, I employ a practical — dare I say FUN!? — writing circle for teens, along with some mindfulness tips to stay sane throughout the process. I love creating safe spaces for teens to discover their unique stories and craft them into persuasive essays for college admissions. Last summer, my teens remarked how much calmer they felt about the college application process after completing this workshop! The nearly overwhelming task of applying to college can be an enjoyable process of self-discovery with some inspired coaching. In addition to preparing a polished personal statement and several essays useful for the common app/supplemental essays, each student will get focused and better organized by creating their own personal timeline. It’s never too early to start this process!
1:1 Coaching can be scheduled at your convenience.

“You made this stressful process so much easier!!! I would absolutely recommend your service to a friend. This whole process is so stressful but your help made it much more manageable. You were so available and your help and feedback always exceeded my expectations. I will be sure to tell every Junior I know that when they start this college process, they should reach out to you.” Sam
“Thank you so much for the help and honestly this is really fun for me to develop a piece of writing and really shake of the coal around it to make it a true gem. I didn't think I would enjoy it this much! One really needs an incredible support team when applying to college. I feel as though I got that from you.
Mrs. Lucci is a rockstar!” Kayla
“I would recommend you to anyone I can. While we worked together you helped us think in a more sophisticated manner. I was a good writer, but you helped me broaden my view and the many avenues I could take to tell my story. You also helped me with many grammar issues that neither myself, nor spell check were able to catch. You change lives with your work. You are gifted at what you do.You have helped me and all of my Link friends become better writers. Now we are on our way to top universities across the country. Some people are not nice enough to do what you do, but you have the patience to do great things with students. Thank you!” Jordan
